Daddy to me is by far the smartest and most talented man on the planet. Not only does he have a Bachelors from IIT Bombay in Aeronautics Engineering, he also has three masters, AND his Doctorate in Engineering (all this despite growing up in a small village in India outside of Varanasi). I’ve pretty much spent my entire life trying to be as perfect and hardworking as my daddy. From as far back as I can remember him I’d love to follow him and give him company in anything he was doing whether it was following him in the yard with my toy lawn mower as a kid to following him around with my camera to match his event photography skills…I strive to do everything just like he does. We even have almost identical handwriting and signatures! I think the only thing I have yet to copy is his love for hats and golf.
Daddy and I love spending father daughter bonding time. Our favorite activity is the State Fair of Texas where we indulge in turkey legs, ice cream, livestock, light shows, and the arts and crafts! We’ve gone almost every year without fail since I was a little kid. We also have taken a lot of memorable trips together, my favorites being visiting his village in India, Mauritius, and our trip together ATVing in the Nevada desert! Daddy has also pretty much made me an honorary Engineer from all the projects we do together… from rewiring all our various electronics to constructing a white erase wall in our game room to installing French drains…he truly is a jack of all trades (of course some projects turn out better than others!)
I am truly blessed and lucky to have such an amazing daddy! There has never been a time I have asked him for something and he hasn’t delivered. He bends backwards to make both Gulgul and my wishes a reality…he once even found a way to get me from Dallas to Mumbai within 40 hours despite all of Europe’s airports being snowed in, because I didn’t want to miss my friend’s premiere. On top of that he has always been there camera in tow whether it be to join me for school lunches in the cafeteria, sit through extreme temperatures to watch my soccer games, or surprise visit me on multiple occasions now that I live away from Dallas!
I will be so grateful if I can somehow become even a fraction as successful, smart, talented, or kind-hearted as Daddy is!
